Life’s Too Short For Smile Stoppers…

Life’s Too Short For Smile Stoppers...

...So Run!  Run Quick!

It doesn’t really matter where, just get away from these mood-maudlin downers!! You simply haven’t got time to listen to Smile Stoppers or Grumpy Lumps. And the same goes for the common sourpuss, naysayer or killjoy.

Consider yourself warned, smile more.

Twerking Is For Jerks - It’s Time To Furry Freestyle!

Twerking is a definite no-no (and yes, that means you too Miley), so it’s time to get your happy-dance on with the ‘furry freestyle’.

The ‘furry freestyle’ is a simple new dance created by Smiling Bear and his pet cat, Fluff. This koala-kitty combo show you how it’s done. It’s easy to pick up and once you’ve got it down, you won’t want to quit.

So, go with the fuzzy-frizzy-fluffy-flow and furry freestyle till it hurts!

“No Worries” Everything’s Going To be Alright!

“No worries” is Australian for, “That’s OK” or “Don’t worry about it”.

It is often referred to as the national motto of Australia. Smiling Bear likes to say it, as it sounds so friendly and caring.

Next time something bad happens to a friend remember to say, “No worries”, because things are rarely as bad as they first seem.

Australian Beach Life Wouldn’t Be Complete Without Surf Life Saving Australia

Surf Life Saving Australia’s uniforms, complete with red and yellow quartered patrol caps, are an iconic part of Australian beach life.

Surf Life Saving Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that provides voluntary lifeguard services across Australia’s beaches. They also organise competitive surf sports for all ages, including the famous weekend “Nippers” for kids aged 5-13. There are 311 surf life saving clubs in Australia, with 165,820 members patrolling over 400 beaches, the majority of which do so voluntarily.

It all started around 1907 in Australia,  and the movement has now expanded globally to other countries including New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. Surf Life Savers in Australia are colloquially known as "Clubbies". To learn more about Surf Life Saving Australia check out their website.

Smiling Bear doesn’t like getting his fur wet!! So, next time you’re visiting the beach make sure you follow the lifeguard safety rules. Needless to say, all of us in Australia are very grateful for keeping us safe while we enjoy the beach, and when we are swimming in the sea (between the red and yellow flags only!!)
